Plans for the RMI Paramedical Training Institute have been made along with the RMC. Planning for the establishment of this institute has been in response to the strong demand nationally for places that provide first degree level training in medically-related sciences. Within the Frontier province in particular, there are relatively few institutions offering medical science courses in a practical environment and therefore this new course will help to meet a substantial demand.  The Institute will offer a new training program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Sciences).

The teaching program will provide innovative approaches to the training of students in the biomedical field with a course structure that will fulfill the requirements of modern day healthcare institutions. The degree will follow a modular format and will emphasize the wide range of modern developments in medicine and the biomedical field more generally. It will provide a mixture of academic and practical education and training that will equip graduates for a variety of career opportunities in the biomedical sector.  This Institute will be constructed on the new campus of the Rehman Medical College located adjacent to the RMI, which is in the stages of planning.

This new initiative reflects the desire of the Rehman Medical Institute to provide an interdisciplinary approach to education and training for a wide range of health professions, scientific and clinical research, and clinical service.
