Dr. Niaz Ali was born in village PirPiai, Nowshera NWFP Pakistan on December 1960. He did his Secondary education (Peshawar Board) from Govt. High School No.1 Nowshera Cantt, his FSc (pre- medical) from Islamia College Peshawar University .

Then he did his MBBS from Khyber Medical College University of Peshawar 1985. After passing MBBS he completed his house job in LRH and KTH Peshawar, worked as MO in londikothal hospital for 2 years followed by MO in cardiovascular surgery LRH. He completed his TMO training in PGMI LRH Peshawar.

He did FRCS Royal College of physicians & Surgeons Glasgow UK 1997. He was trained in Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic surgery in Prestigious Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast Northern Ireland (UK) from August 1996 to Nov 04. Royal Victoria is a University Hospital and a tertiary referral center for Cardiac and thoracic services to the whole province and is teaching center to Students of Queen University of Belfast.

He has membership of CTSNet for Cardiothoracic Surgery Network & European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
