Dr. Anwar Zeb Jan; born in Dir District, passed his FSc from Islamia College Peshawar, followed by his M.B.B.S from Khyber Medical College Peshawar in 1982. He did his MRCP in Paediatrics from Royal College of Physician Ireland in 1992 and diploma in Child Health from Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians Glasgow. He also did a Federal License Examination from USA.
Dr. Anwar Zeb has worked consistently in Paediatrics and Neonatology from April 1983 to August 2004 rising through the ranks following UK and Ireland system of promotion - House officer to registrar to Senior Registrar to Consultant. His last post in UK was Consultant Paediatrician in Minor Hospital Walsall before going to Taif Children Hospital in Saudi Arabia as Consultant Neonatologist / Paediatrician.
He then returned to Pakistan as Consultant Paediatrician in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar in the Paediatric Department. After working for two years in LRH, he got a lucrative offer from Royal Commission Hospital with high frequency Ventilation facilities for Neonates in the Industrial city of Jubail, Saudi Arabia and stayed there for six years until August 2004 when he was offered the post of Neonatologist/Paediatrician in RMI with the hope of serving the people of the region and establishing PICU and NICU in this clean scientific environment.

He has presented many papers on different occasions and seminars all over the world. A few among them are,
- ?Recent development in management of children Bronchial Asthma?, in International Paediatrics conference held in London (UK).
- ?Relationship between Neonatal Colonization and Maternal Vaginal Flora?, a retrospective study conducted in Coomb Lying Hospital Dublin.
- ?Funny turns in children?, presented in Paediatrics conference in Jeddah.
- ?Limping child ?, ?A Dilemma to Paediatrician? presented in Paediatric conference in Dammam.
He was also among the organizers of Neonatal Intensive Seminar in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. His recent workshop was on ?Common Paediatric Problems? organized in Royal Commission Hospital Jubail for Primary Health care Doctor.
Apart from Paediatrics he was the chair person of continuous Medical Education (C.M.E) and Infectious control team in Taif Children Hospital and Head of Quality assurance program in Royal Commission Hospital Jubail Hospital Saudi Arabia. He was been actively involved in social work and loves football, reading and travelling.
