Dr. Humera Khan received her primary education from Hungary & Iran. She topped the female candidates in Peshawar Board SSC exam in 1986. She received the COAS Gold medal in her F.Sc examination in 1988. She did her MBBS from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, where she maintained her academic record and received Merit Scholarship throughout her course of study. After her internship, she proceeded to Ireland in 1996 for further studies. She received training in medicine at the Regional General Hospital, Limerick and became member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in February 1999. Prior to joining RMI, Dr. Humera Khan worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Naseer Teaching Hospital for one year, where she was teaching undergraduate students of Kabir Medical College. Thereafter, she worked in Fauji Foundation Hospital, Peshawar, as Incharge Physician for four years. During that period, she established the department of Medicine and through her efforts; it was recognized for undergraduate training. Dr. Humera Khan has attended numerous conferences abroad and within the country. She has several research publications to her credit. She joined RMI on 18th June 2004.
