Dr. Samreen Ahmad born in Peshawar in 1972, graduated from Khyber Medical College in 1996 in A One grade being among the top students. After completing her internship in 1997, she started preparation for specialization in Paediatric Medicine & within a period of five months had cleared FCPS Part 1 Examination in Paediatrics in the first attempt. She worked for three years in various departments of Paediatrics in Khyber Teaching Hospital including neonatal unit, Intensive care unit, outpatient Paediatric department, Nutritional Rehabilitation department, Infection disease department and the Paediatric Oncology ward.

She passed her FCPS II in Paediatrics from College of Physician & Surgeon Pakistan Karachi in March 2003. She is has been working as Staff Paediatrician in RMI since then.

Dr. Samreen has special interest in Paediatric Cardiology especially Echocardiography & Paediatric Cardiac Catheterization.

She has recently forwarded two Research Papers ?Spectrum of Heart Disease in Children? & ?A Typical Presentation of Malaria in Children?.
