The Orthopaedic Department of RMI is being developed to make it a State-of-the Art facility that can cater to the most complex Orthopaedic and Fracture problems therefore removing the reason for patients to travel to other cities or abroad in search of better treatment. In fact, the Orthopaedic and Trauma Department of RMI is already treating international patients who travel to Peshawar from neighbouring Afghanistan , Central Asian Republics , and even expatriate Pakistanis from the Middle East for their treatment

This department is now staffed by highly qualified and well trained Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons. It has the best, latest, and most expensive equipment for Trauma Surgery and fracture fixation, including the fixation and treatment of complicated fractures of all the bones of the body, the treatment of nerve injuries, and the treatment of tendon and Joint injuries. With the help of Arthroscopy and TV monitors, surgery can be carried out on joints through small key-hole incisions resulting in faster patient recovery time. With the help of modern equipment and experienced surgeons, minimally invasive techniques are employed resulting in smaller and less painful operative scars and earlier recovery of patients.

There is availablity of Resident Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon who shall be available from morning to evening during weekdays.
