1. To provide expert leadership for clinical
and professional nursing care for all nursing staff at RMI.
2. To design and implement clinical policies, procedures,
protocols and guidelines for nursing care at RMI in conjunction
with the medical departments/colleagues and contribute to
and participate in, wherever required, in the provision of
state-of-the-art technology and research based nursing care.
3. To be responsible for strategic management
of all nursing care of RMI (departments and specialties) and
help in developing a viable work-place environment for professional
team-building with medical doctors (at all levels) and other
allied and support staff of the hospital operational level.
4. To provide and maintain nursing clinical
skills (both through formally arranged trainings, and informal
mentoring) and competencies and act as a role model for the
nursing staff and be responsible for setting, monitoring and
measuring standards of nursing care in the clinical departments
of RMI.
5. To be responsible for a smooth utilization
(efficient, effective, and equitable) of available resources
(nursing, equipment, space etc) to achieve maximum effect
within the specified limits, maintaining adequate nurse staffing

1. To assist the Director Nursing in
an efficient and effective planning, organizing, coordinating
and controlling of nursing care/functional departments of
RMI in the work spirit that is professional, ethical, and
performance-based; and implementation of SOPs for all nursing
services in the hospital.
2. To ensure a smooth and disciplined supervisory
relationship with all the functional staff including the OT,
ICU, CCU, Cath-lab, Emergency and all wards; and project a
professional outlook.
3. To initiate and take responsibility of
requisition for a systematic and periodic procurement or replacement
of all medical equipment.
4. To manage and supervise all duty rosters
of nursing staff in coordination with the functional departments
(including diagnostic services) and ensure efficient staff

1. To provide leadership, develop strategies,
and directly supervise the Coordinator RMISON in the preparation
of RMICON application for registration with the PNC and other
institutions and affiliation with relevant degree/diploma
awarding institution(s).
2. To initiate and supervise the design of
academic statutes and curriculum/scheme of studies; in the
preparation of management systems for RMISON; and to contribute
to the design of the master operational plan for RMISON systems
as well as the implementation guidelines.
3. To plan, organize, coordinate and control
the execution of all the prescribed policies, systems and
procedures for an effective, efficient and equitable running
and image projection of the RMISON.
4. To create strategies for nursing resource
acquisition and development of a high international standard,
and develop collaboration where essential (for instance, the
AKU) and take initiatives on fund-raising and student fellowships
schemes through the national and international sectors.
5. To advise RMI top management through appropriate
forums on all matters related to RMISON.
6. To initiate faculty recruitment; assist in job analysis
and remuneration packages of all academic faculty; advise
on the design of student stipend structure, admission criteria
and prospectus; implementation of RMISON publicity and promotion;
student advertisement, admission process, and registration;
student support services and discipline.
7. To implement all matters related to general
administration, financial administration, and academic quality
control procedures for an effective and efficient running
of the RMISON, and where relevant take advice from RMI top
